About Doris Boccone: Interior Designer in Lake George
Doris Cella Boccone attended the New York School of Interior Design in Manhattan and has had a successful interior design service business in New York City and Florida. While working for a Florida developer, she became a Real Estate Broker and successfully completed 20 years in Real Estate selling co-op's and condominiums as well as new construction and residential properties. Doris' passion, however, remains with interior design and upon her return to the Adirondacks began again to provide interior design services tailored to the individual needs of her clients. Her background in fine arts brings a highly-developed eye and sensitivity to the smallest detail to her work. Doris' other interests include travel, gardening and design history, which continued to influence her approach to residential interior design as well as commercial design.
My Interior Design Philosophy ...
Give people exceptional interior design service and quality so they won't think about ever going elsewhere! It takes research and planning before you start each project. I believe it is important to stay current on trends and have an appreciation for eclecticism and comfort in interior design.
These elements play an important role in my design philosophy. By using traditional elements and infusing them with a modern aesthetic I am able to create comfortable and sophisticated interiors that reflect the personal desires of each of my clients. I believe in mixing styles, textures, and finishes to create clean-lined and interesting spaces. I am committed to making the interior design process easy and enjoyable for all my clients.
I believe a successful project reflects the needs of the owner and location. One of the most exciting things is to learn about the client and research the location to create a unique solution. I like to start with inspiration from the client's personality and life, stylistic and color preferences, as well as the architecture of the interior space that exists or needs to be created.
Consulting with an interior designer is not about imposing ideas and personal taste onto a client. It is about a client and interior designer coming together to create a unique space. It's about helping the client develop their vision while analyzing their interior design requirements. In the end, it is about creating a flexible, functional environment that optimizes their space and has a unified look.
